Revision of the Biodiversity Action Plan for the Hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata)in northern Mozambique

The hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) is a fully protected and endangered species that nests in and occurs throughout Mozambique. We are partnering with BIOTA ( to review the Biodiversity Action Plan that was produced for the species in 2018, with specific focus on the northern province of Cabo Delgado. The revised Action Plan will identify priorities for Hawksbill turtle conservation and provide an implementation, monitoring and evaluation approach for the delivery of a net gain for this species.
